Ballistic Plate NIJ Level 4 (IV)

High quality ballistic protection (protection class NIJ 4) – Made in Europe

The hard ballistic plate combines light weight (only 3.15 kg) with extremely strong protection (protection class NIJ 4). These properties are made possible by the use of silicon carbide ceramics, from which the protection plates are manufactured in Europe by the company Protection Group Danmark. Due to the high quality production, the plate has minimal no protection areas and not, as usual, a wide no protection edge. Thus, it has a more comprehensive protection area on the entire plate compared to plates from other manufacturers.

Its multicurved shape provides a snug fit, allowing the plates to perfectly contour to the body. This protective plate is a stand alone plate – no other soft ballistics are needed to provide the specified protection class.

This NIJ 4 class protection plate protects against the following projectiles:

• – 1 shot 7.62×63 M2 AP (NIJ level 4 0101.06)
• – 6 shots 7.62×51 NATO, M80 (NIJ level 3 0101.06)
• – 6 rounds 7.62×39 MSC
• – 6 shots 5.56×45 SS109/M855

The welded cover of the ballistic plate is water repellent, as well as dirt and oil repellent. Thus, the plate is not affected by these external influences. In addition, an internal enveloping layer of foam protects the plate from impact and dropping. Suitable for the body front and the body back.

This hard ballistic plate can be optimally combined with our TERRA B Discreet Plate Carrier and our TERRA B Overt Plate Carrier. However, it can also be used with other plate carriers of similar dimensions.
